Ergonomic handle to conveniently change the position of the lift. Electronic and manual version available.
The rotation speed, as well as heating bath temperature and lift position, are shown on the integrated bath display. When using an interface those parameters are shown on both the bath and the interface.
The transparent plastic coating (P+G) improves the durability and stability of the glass. It also protects the operator from broken bits of glass as well as chemicals in case of glass breakage.
The easiest way for finding the right conditions is by applying the “delta 20 rule”:
A bath temperature of 50 °C is recommended for many applications.
There are many advantages of heating the bath to a maximum of 50 °C:
The selection of the right condenser is crucial to be able to perform the required application. Depending on the required condensation level a different cooling capacity needs to be chosen.
Tap water is the most common used fluid. When using distilled water, 0.5 g of Borax should be added. Distilled water without any additionally added ions will corrode the bath. For heating temperatures higher than 95 °C we recommend polyethyleneglycol (PEG).
Yes, the ECO-mode is an integral part of the BUCHI Rotavapor R-300 system. Both bath and chiller enter a stand-by more after a pre-defined period of time and are restarted automatically when required.
If the distillation parameters are not chosen according to the "delta 20 rule" (10-30-50), the condensation is not complete and vapor is entering into the pump. Due to the high vacuum in the second stage, the vapor may condensate, leading to droplets. Thus, the pressure has to be increased or the cooling temperature of the condensation assembly decreased.
