The TD 1 complies to USP, ASTM, EP and DIN ISO specifications and has just one position for both USP I and USP II / EP tests.
An adapter is used to change the drop height from 14 mm to 3 mm. When the TD 1 detects the presence of the adapter, it will only allow the user to start a USP II test or define a “USER” method with customized parameters.
Both 100 ml and 250 ml cylinders can be loaded onto quick-lock holders which allow free rotation of the cylinders (other dimensions available on demand). The weight of the holders also complies with pharmacopeia requirements.
The TD 1 has a digital LCD display and an Ethernet and RS232 port for printer and a RS232 port for balance connection.
The last 20 reports giving the serial number of the instrument, method parameters, test results and calculation as tapped density, compressibility index and Hausner ratio, are saved in the instrument memory and can be printed out either on a local or network printer.
The optional q-doc prolab® Quality Documentation Software package for Windows XP, Windows 7 and 8 permits the storage of methods as well as test results. Customized reports are also possible. Q-doc prolab® is a validated Windows XP / Windows 7 and 8 software which fully complies with GAMP 4 and 21 CFR Part 11. q-doc prolab® is available with LIMS capabilities and can also be networked.
