Expert Advice

What are the benefits of potentiometric titration?

The benefits are lower detection limits, shorter analysis times, online titration and no need for indicators. The patented automatic IntelliDist mode can also be used.

What is the benefit of colorimetric titration?

It makes calibration obsolete, offers extended lifetime and the endpoint is optically visible.

What is the benefit of online titration?

Titration starts whilst the distillation is still in progress, therefore the analysis time for samples with high nitrogen content can be significantly shortened.

Why would back titration be used?

Back titration is only used when boric acid is not allowed. It requires an optional external dosing unit for precise addition of receiving solution.

What is the purpose of the IntelliDist function?

When IntelliDist is used, the instrument automatically detects the optimal operating temperature is reached before the set distillation time starts. Routine work is easier as no time is wasted for manually preheating the distillation unit, and the reproducibility of results is increased.

Can results be transferred to a network folder without connecting the KjelMaster K-375 to a PC or needing additional software?

Yes, the K-375 can be connected directly to the network via an ethernet cable so that results are automatically stored in a network folder.

How many results can be stored in the K-375 memory?

More than 100,000 results can be saved.

What hardware and/or software changes are necessary to switch between potentiometric and colorimetric titrations?

Dependent on the titration required, the pH electrode or the optical sensor has to be attached to the K-375. This is known as Plug-and-Measure
